PLANNING APPLICATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

In August 2012 RES submitted a planning application for Barr Cregg Wind Farm along with an Environmental Statement to The Department of Environment, Strategic Planning Division, Millennium House, 2nd Floor, 17-25 Great Victoria Street, Belfast, BT2 7BN.

The planning application has been validated by the Strategic Planning Division and they have given the application the following unique planning reference A/2012/0401/F. Should you wish to make a representation please write to the above address quoting the planning reference.

As part of the development process RES has conducted environmental impact assessments.  The findings from all the site studies we have undertaken have been written up in a comprehensive Environmental Statement.

Viewing the Application

Please be advised that you can view the Environmental Statement at the following location:

Copies of the full Environmental Statement are available to purchase from the Diamond Centre priced £50 each for paper copies and £10 each for CD copies. Copies of the Non-Technical Summary are also available free of charge or available to download.

Requests to RES UK & Ireland Ltd for documents should be made in writing, including payment if purchase of the full Environmental Statement or CD is required.

RES SUBMITS FURTHER ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION (FEI)

RES has submitted Further Environmental Information (FEI) for Barr Cregg Wind Farm in response to queries raised by statutory consultees (Planning Reference A/2014/0401/F). The FEI application included a separate planning application for an alternative access track (Planning Reference A/2014/0114/F), that in combination with other proposed amendments would allow the onsite infrastructure footprint to be reduced. RES have also submitted a separate planning application for 14 passing bays (Planning reference A/2014/0112/F) located along the Craigatoke Road and Slaghtmanus Road (in part) with the express purpose of facilitating construction of the wind farm.  

Hard copies of the FEI are available for inspection during normal opening hours and for purchase at The Diamond Centre, 630 Baranailt Road, Claudy, County Londonderry, BT47 4EA at a price of £50. A CD version of the FEI can be obtained and is free of charge. Hard copies of the FEI Non-Technical Summary are also available free of charge. They can also be viewed on the Planning NI Web Portal www.planningni.gov.uk or at the Local Area Planning Office or by contacting NI Direct on 0300 200 7830 or 028 9151 3101.
